I would love a 5/4 scale Miata, as in a rear-drive, relatively-low-power roadster with excellent handling. I would love one reliable enough to drive every day.

Here I am in an NC:

Kinja'd!!!

I was stuffed in there.

But roadsters aren’t built for guys who are 6'3" and 300 lbs.

... sigh...

Guess I’ll have to get a C5 or C6 convertible. And a fanny pak. And trade my New Balance shoes for white Reebok walkers.

I may have said this before, but have you tried sitting in a NA or NB with a “foamectomy” done to the seats?

Mustang fits me really good at 6' 4" and 200 lbs. lots of leg room. I’ve never even been close to fitting into a Miata, even at 175 lbs, my legs are too darn long. I need the seat to go back another 2" at least.

Even at 6' 1" and 185 lbs, my brother’s NB is a little tight for my liking. Most of which could be addressed by a simple tilting steering wheel.

S2000?

It’s snug but fits. The issue with that is that the steering wheel isn’t as adjustable as I’d like and being 6'3" with a 30" inseam means I have to duck to drive with the top up. I fit better in an AP2 than an AP2 though. It must be the changes they made to the seats.

First gen Z4? Base Porsche Boxster?

Or (here I come again) MR2 Spyder. Should fit fine lengthwise, don’t know if the width would be an issue. (I’m 6'3 and 180 lbs)

I'd love an MR2 spyder. I've never been in one though. Boxster is a possibility. I've driven a few. It's more comfortable with the top down.

Try and get your hands on one then! ;) This thread from Spyderchat sounds promising. If you end up getting one, look for a 2003+, those should be relatively bomb proof and cheap to maintain.

The Boxster is the better car (more practical too), but also more of a full-on sports car. Not necessarily a bad thing, but you lose the light weight, slow car fast schtick.
